This is the same policy as in the app, written for store listing URLs. It is not a substitute for professional legal advice.
1. Introduction
Welcome to Zero to Unicorn. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we handle your personal data when you use our application and this website.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account information
- Username
- Email address
- Password (encrypted; we do not store it in plain text)
- Name you share with Sign in with Apple
- Sign in with Apple identity, if you use Apple to sign in
2.2 Game data
- Game progress and statistics
- In-game achievements and stars
- Virtual currency and items
- Startup names and valuations
- Upgrade purchases and levels
- Cosmetics and other unlocks you equip
2.3 Social data (if you use those features)
- Public username, avatar, and profile stats other players can see
- Friend relationships and friend challenges you take part in
- Leaderboard rankings derived from your progress
2.4 Device information
- Device type and model
- Operating system version
- Push-notification token (if you enable alerts)
- Advertising identifier, if you allow tracking for ads
- App version and settings
2.5 Approximate country
If you have not chosen a country, we ask ipapi.co once for the country associated with your current IP address. We store only the two-letter country code for regional leaderboards. We do not store your IP address. You can change your country in Settings.
We do not require this website to collect personal data. If you email us, we will receive whatever you send.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and maintain the game
- Save progress across sessions and devices

- Run social features you choose to use (friends, leaderboards, challenges)
- Show regional leaderboards for your country
- Improve and debug the game
- Customer support
- Important service messages
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- Deliver rewarded ads and process optional in-app purchases
4. Data Storage
Account, game progress, and social data are stored in the cloud on Supabase (hosted in the EU for this project). Session tokens on device are kept in the device keychain via Expo SecureStore. We do not send your gameplay to third-party large language model providers.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with processors needed to run the game:
- Supabase — accounts, database, export, and deletion
- Expo — app builds, updates, and push delivery
- Resend — confirmation and password-reset emails
- Apple — Sign in with Apple
- RevenueCat — App Store in-app purchases
- Google AdMob (Unity Ads via mediation) — rewarded ads
- TikTok (iOS app only) — after you answer the tracking prompt, the TikTok SDK measures installs and conversions. We send a Registration event (your user id and whether you signed up with email or Apple) and Purchase, Subscribe, or StartTrial events (currency, price, product id, and transaction id). 6. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, restricted database access, secure on-device session storage). No internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (including the EEA/UK), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, object, export your data, and withdraw consent. In the app: Settings — download my data, and delete account. You can also email contact@zerotounicorn.app.
8. Children’s Privacy
The app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 provided data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Third-Party Services
The processors above have their own privacy policies. We do not use separate AI sub-processors. This same policy is the one linked from the App Store listing.
10. Data Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above. Game progress is kept until you delete your account. If you delete your account in Settings, the sign-in email is removed. Game progress may be held for 30 days so you can restore it with a one-time code; after that it is deleted. Push tokens that go stale are cleaned up periodically.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new version in the app and on this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
